Our volunteering efforts

Picking up trash along the road

One of the highlights was BCA students becoming "buddies" with seniors. They enjoyed activities, games, reading together, and building friendships. It was such a hit that it continued into the summer because the kids didn't want to stop seeing their buddies!

2024/2025 focus

Program expansion

BCA would like to give our hard-working teachers and aides a raise. Not only could they make more per hour working at McDonald’s, but several of our teachers and aides generously donate their time. Additionally, with BCA’s growth, we aim to add two new teachers to support this expansion.

bridging the gap

In an effort to provide quality Christian education to all those who desire it, BCA works hard to secure donors to bridge the gap between our low tuition and the actual operating cost of BCA. Currently, book/activity fee and tuition only covers 48% of overall budget.

improving communications

With BCA's growth, communication has become challenging. To address this, we are creating a BCA Hub where parents can find real-time updates, including schedules, weekly shoutouts, important dates, newsletters, handbook/agreement links, and more—all in one place! Slack will still be used for last-minute daily communications.

sustainability

With BCA's growth, the operating budget increases. Fundraising plans for the coming year include a raffle, a December Festival of Trees event, and another fundraising event later in the year. We will also continue our yearly online fund drive through Givebutter, allowing online donations anytime. Stay tuned for matches, current giving amounts, and updates on our website!
